Are you comfortable there? With your head pressed up against that ceiling in your career?
If you're feeling as restrained as a battery hen, maybe it's finally time you took that step into being free range.
You'll have a UK-wide remit, with the flexibility of being in a home-based role. What about travelling to sites? Sure, but that's up to you to decide when that's necessary to get the best results.
You will be working for a manager who genuinely cares about your development, and who will mentor you and help you to progress into senior leadership.
As an experienced Electrical Engineer you'll already be used to having overall responsibility for electrical maintenance, and whether you've worked in power generation, heavy manufacturing or steel you understand the importance of maximising equipment uptime.
You won't need to be an Authorised Person now, as long as you've had that position in the past. But you'll definitely get the chance to put your High voltage knowledge to good use in this role.
You will be involved in ensuring electrical compliance, networking with the supplier base and reviewing high voltage electrical designs prior to installation.
As the technical voice on projects your role can also involve failure analysis and input into the standardising of equipment across the business.
This isn't a static role, and you'll have plenty of opportunity to use your initiative to identify and propose new approaches, technologies and procedures to improve the way things are done.
You'll also get to flex your people management muscles, by developing those engineers who report into you, and making sure that they have the knowledge and skills needed to do the best job possible.
Working for an expanding business with revenues over £160m and over 300 staff, who have five times the sites of their nearest direct competitor you can be confident that you'll have the stability and room to grow in your career.
You'll be working for a green energy business who are moving into new methods of power generation, so you will certainly expand your knowledge in renewables no matter what your background.
The position would provide a total financial package between £75,000 – £90,000 inclusive of salary, car allowance and bonuses. Plus up to 10% pension and family medical cover.
If this sounds of interest and you don't have an up-to-date CV then just send what you have and we can take it from there.
Or if you'd like more info or to discuss then please apply or message me (Seth Bland) on LinkedIN for a confidential conversation.
