Allstaff Recruitment (Milton Keynes) are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to fulfill a full-time, permanent role for a Building Engineering services company based in Milton Keynes.

The purpose of the Electrical Design Engineer role is to work on warehouse design projects, both in the office and on site.

As the ideal Electrical Design Engineer, you will possess the following:

* Previous experience of Building Services project design in Electrical Engineering

* Relevant evidence of your experience and understanding of design in buildings

* A strong understanding of the process and need for co-ordination with other design disciplines

* An understanding and preferably experience of sustainable design and low energy buildings

* A good understanding of QA systems

* A good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions

* Competency in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types

* Knowledge of key health and safety issues and legislation

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – word, excel, etc.

* Good knowledge and a competent ability in the use of their preferred internationally recognised Design Software

* Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD

* An understanding of the relevant and current British and industry Standards

* A driving license

This role would also be suitable for a graduate with at least 3 years’ experience of Electrical design processes associated with Building Engineering Services.

Salary: £35K – £45K, Dependent on experience

Hours: Office hours
