An Electrical Design & Development Engineer position has just become available, with one of our key clients working through a period of growth. This is a client that holds a large customer footprint globally and is able to provide technical solutions to a broad range of sectors including Automotive, Industrial, Yellow Goods, Construction, Agricultural and Automation.

Reporting to the Lead Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the specification, design, test and validation of electric vehicle thermal management systems, such as pumps, power motors, actuators, temperature sensors, motor speed controllers and System ECU controllers.

Responsibilities include –

Review customer specifications to define requirements and/or feasibility for the product.
Design and 2D drafting of electrical harnesses aligned with system requirements.
Engage with sales and customers on engineering design issues.
Liaise with suppliers to understand capabilities and ensure cost effective solutions.
Create executing test and validating plans for products and components.
Design and build prototype-testing equipment.Required Skills/Experience/Attributes –

Experience working in a similar position (Design/Development)
Ability to work on the 2D design of electrical harnesses.
Confident working very closely with customers and suppliers.
Understanding of DFMEA and DRBFM processes (participate in scoring meetings).
Knowledge of Mobile Air Conditioning, HVAC systems and Components (desirable).
An engineering or other relevant Engineering qualification (Electrical).In return you will receive –
