A great opportunity for an accomplished and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer working on end of line packaging machinery supplied to the food industry for this market leading & well established British manufacturer. You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with Solidworks experience.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000
 
LOCATION: Factory based in Bedfordshire
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Northampton, Huntingdon, Biggleswade, Hitchin, Letchworth
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer – packaging machinery
 
A classic Mechanical Design Engineer role working as part of a team to design and develop conceptual & detailed solutions to agreed specifications, budgets and schedules working on the existing machinery range, bespoke solutions and NPD.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer – packaging machinery
 
· You MUST have a proven track record as a Mechanical Design Engineer working for an industrial manufacturing company
· Any specific packaging or process machinery experience used in the food industry would be advantageous
· You MUST be a qualified Mechanical Engineer ideally qualified to HNC level and ideally with Solidworks knowledge
· Any NPD experience would also be advantageous
