A classic Mechanical Design Engineer role for a market leading manufacturer of food processing & packaging machinery based in Milton Keynes. This company have more than doubled in size in the last 10 years and I have placed in excess of 30 people with them during this time. BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer : food processing machinery, packaging machinery
A classic Mechanical Design Engineer role working on engineering drawings, manuals and procedures whilst working with purchasing & suppliers to procure required parts.
You will also be involved in project management and will be expected to visit client sites 1 day per week on average.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer : food processing machinery, packaging machinery
· You MUST have a current and proven track record as a Mechanical Design Engineer having designed capital equipment or special purpose machinery.
· You WILL have experience of machinery using stainless steel & plastic and incorporating gearboxes, motors, pneumatic cylinders & bearings.
· You MUST have used Solidworks 3D software and WILL be a qualified Mechanical Engineer.
