MDC Europe specialise in the manufacture of precision engineered vacuum and pressure vessels, components and systems, operating at the forefront of commercial science. Company products are used in the applied physical science departments of universities worldwide, national and multi-national research facilities as well as the materials and semiconductor research and development laboratories of telecommunications/electronics companies. Function & Responsibility
Performs duties as part of the overall sales & marketing team where customer care is the prime responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Ensure a perfect customer experience across all customer interactions
* Respond to sales and customer service calls & emails (Global Sales Inbox) in a timely and friendly manner.
* Work with initiative to handle the needs of Regional Sales Managers (RSM), agents and customers.
* Enter orders accurately onto ERP system
* Create and forward quotations to customer where appropriate
* Work with credit control department to resolve account queries
* Maintain customer delivery dates on ERP system, ensuring customers are updated
* Field customer grievances and or complaints, prior to hand off to Quality Department as required.
* Maintain effective communications with internal departments, and external stakeholders
* Support other colleagues during vacation and other periods of absence.
* Be prepared to attend meetings as required by the company.

* Possess current and comprehensive skills & knowledge to perform all parts of the job efficiently & effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent telephone skills including the ability to listen effectively to customers.
* Ability to use tact and diplomacy in any given situation.
* Ability to help resolve and follow problems through to a satisfactory conclusion.
* Proficient in PC computer skills with the ability to use the company standard software systems.
* Ability to remain calm and work under pressure.
* Excellent sales skills with the ability to not make the customer feel pressured.
* Effectively utilizes time and resources.
* Team player
* Works well in a fast-paced environment and can make quick decisions.
* Has the ability to interface positively with all levels of employees.
* Additional European language(s) (F, G, Sp) are a distinct advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma preferred; experience will substitute for education.
* Previous customer service experience handling the responsibilities outlined above.
* Excellent computer skills, including all Ms packages and internal systems
* Previous background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as demonstrated ability to deal with customers
