I am looking for a motivated Controls Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company within the food industry. This role will suit someone who is looking to utilise their skills to help keep a start of the art production facility maintained to a high standard. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all the automation on site (PLC's and HMI's)
Be available for call support for any issues or breakdowns that arise in the factory.
Maintain the equipment up to date in respect of firmware versions and also stay informed of any obsolescence going on that might affect site reliability or compromise equipment performance.
Support with the completion of the PM plan, this meaning that at some stages you will be asked to complete PMs on machinery.
Support the engineering stores to improve the spare system and get rid of all obsolete parts no longer used.
Support the maintenance manager to plan for engineering works.
Support the maintenance manager to improve the work orders and maintenance completed on site.
Maximize engineering spend and look for cost saving opportunities.
Support the execution of engineering and capital projects.
Contractor management (RAMS, inductions, permit to work, etc)
Attend the relevant meetings for the projects and keep a track of all the project milestones.
Keep track of all the spend on the budget.
Follow the established procurement process when obtaining quotations.

Required Skills & Experience:

Engineering skills within Controls/PLC's/Automation/HMI's
HNC/HND/Degree – Engineering Related Discipline
Strong Electrical background
Worked previously within a manufacturing environment
Food Industry Background (Advantageous)
