About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
We're looking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Manager to join us in our Milton Keynes office.
In this role you will be expected to contribute to the enhancement of the Business Improvement strategy and ensure relentless implementation. You'll also need to lead and co-ordinate improvement projects and initiatives and collaborate with other members of the project team, the client and the supply chain.
You must support the identification of specific challenges (tactical or strategic) where improvement projects have the potential to deliver benefits to the Project. It's essential that you manage the Business Improvement platform, and engage with relevant specialists, including Subcontractors, to promote Lean and CI across the project.
Part of this fast-paced role is to populate, review and cascade HS2 and parent company Ideas Management Platforms to identify relevant solutions that add value and eliminate waste.
You must introduce relevant tools, systems and processes for enhancing Lean/CI and provide training to respective stakeholders.
We'd like you to support and attend relevant Forums; contribute and encourage ideas; review the IT Ideas Management Platform and the suggestions made by Others, for viability and feasibility. An essential part of this role is to update and develop the Business Improvement Dashboard and report on progress, targets and achievements including commercial aspects.
You must develop awareness within the project team through a variety of channels (comms, workshops, training, challenges)
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Proven previous experience in a similar role, with a portfolio of improvement projects with tangible benefits
Experience using relevant software packages: Microsoft Office tools (with a focus on excel & PowerPoint) Visio, MS Project, other reporting tools etc.
Knowledge of Lean & CI tools, techniques & methodologies (collaborative planning etc): ideally Green/Black Belt certified
Degree in Engineering or Business related subject
Engineering background with a good working knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies
Understanding & appreciation of commercial aspects of a project
Previous experience on the HS2 project and/or other relevant projects is highly desirable
