Continuous Improvement Engineer – £38,000 to £45,000 – Plus Benefits – Milton Keynes

Melbreck Technical are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment that is supplied into a multitude of industries through the globe.

They have had a very successful 2020 and are now looking to expand their capability to bring new suppliers on board by hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their Quality Team.

Continuous Improvement Engineer – Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall continuous improvement activities throughout the business, and coordinating cross-functional teams, alongside developing suppliers, to allow the business to improve productivity and profitability.

Continuous Improvement Engineer – Responsibilities:

Analyse existing business and production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage.

Investigate most complex manufacturing difficulties with intent to improve.

Responsible for supporting increasing yields and productivity and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

Lead and support coaching the Lean and Kaizen activity

Problem solving to overcome production issues.

Support and guide production engineering team

Support implementation of automation

Drive supplier improvement activities

Driving High Performing Teams and an engaged team culture

Continuous Improvement Engineer – Requirements:

Green Belt lean six sigma.

2-3 years on a similar position, previous experience in working with external stakeholders.

Engineering knowledge (e.g. relevant degree or technical experience)

Fluent in English

Good knowledge of problem-solving tools.

ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 knowledge

Good communication skills across all organisation levels.

Customer focussed with a good level of business acumen
