We are recruiting for a Composite Inspector to join the Quality assurance group in an F1 team to inspect composite car parts. They are a forward thinking team who are challenging themselves as to how they operate, and as you can imagine the workshop is immaculate and facilities are somewhere you’d be proud to call work.
A daily list of duties could entail;
· First article inspection of component parts
· Working with Romer Arms and Leica Trackers
· Dimensional verification of patterns, mould and components
· Laminate overlay scans to quantify material removal required on inserts
· Liaising with suppliers regarding any quality issues
· Liaising with all internal departments to provide support regarding the following
What’s on offer?
I could genuinely write paragraphs on the offerings in this exciting team, asides from the excellent salary, a very healthy bonus scheme, healthcare, pension and free lunch, some of the stuff you are probably more interested in includes; a strong budget to invest on latest equipment (pretty cool right?) and an environment which is second to none. The shift pattern is on a late shift of 4:15pm – 2:45am 4 days a week.
What’s required?
Essentially, a proven ability of inspecting composite parts with both a CMM and a Romer arm is what we need. Software wise, Pc-DMIS for the CMM and Polyworks for the Romer is what is preferred but other will be considered. As you can imagine the World of F1 is extremely fast paced and the manufacturing operation is no different, so parts will be coming in thick and fast for inspection so you must be comfortable with delivering accuracy with short lead times.
