An innovative business with over 50 years of experience within logistics is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. The business operates on a global level with multiple production facilities across the world. They provide truly bespoke logistics solutions for many of the world's most well-known organisations including Amazon.
You'll be home based but, as one might expect with a role of this type, there will be significant travel – an average site installation takes 3 weeks and you'll need to be there for all of the installation. The role is predominantly UK based so you will get home at the weekends. In addition, during November, December and January installations are rare so there'll be much less travelling during these three months.
As one of their Commissioning Engineers you'll work in a small team designing and commissioning the electrical, mechanical and controls packages for projects from start to finish – you'll mainly be working with labelling machines. You'll take responsibility for the building and commissioning along with arranging the go-live support of new machines.
To succeed in the role of Commissioning Engineer you'll need to have experience of a similar role (electrical bias) along with knowledge of at least a couple of vision cameras, pneumatics, PLCs (you don't need to be a programmer though) and conveyors. Any experience of networking will certainly hold you in good stead.
In return for your skills, you'll receive a salary of up to £50K + vehicle + pension + healthcare. In addition, the company is committed to both training and development along with career progression.
This type of role doesn't come around often so if you're interested in being considered please send your CV through the application button.
