The Job
You will be part of a small team so this is a position of responsibility, not in terms of management, but one where you will make engineering decisions. You will have offline programmers on site who will produce programs for you, but you will be ned to be able to edit programs on the machines. On a daily basis you can expect to be cutting a variety of jobs, working with aerospace grade materials including Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium and Steel. You will be the sole turner on site so this is an exciting opportunity to make this position your own!
The Company
They are a small yet established sub con who have recently moved into a newly specially fitted out workshop in a suburb of Milton Keynes. You can expect their workshop to be immaculate with modern milling and turning machines which are used to supply mainly into the F1 industry, but in time will take on more work in the Aerospace, pharma and Automotive industries. They run an open door policy and you can expect team meetings where suggestions are able to be made.
Experience
As this is a part of a small team, this position will need someone who is highly skilled and comfortable at making engineering decisions. These engineering decisions could be about anything from the general cutting strategy, tooling, jigs or even the vice used. You will be using Fanuc controls so experience with this is a must for this position, also as they supply into the Motorsport industry there will be plenty of overtime if desired…..
