CNC Setter/Operator

An exciting position has become available for a full-time CNC Setter/Operator based in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will earn £32,000 – £38,000.

Reporting into the Production Manager, this role is a result of growth in the machine shop.

Role Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CNC setter on vertical mills is essential.
Experience with Fanuc is essential.
Desire and ability to learn CNC Programming.
Knowledge of technical drawings and tolerances is essential.
Attention to detail.
Ability to learn new skills and be prepared to support in other areas when required, including the ability learn to set 5 axis routers.
Ability to be flexible to work demands.
Knowledge of G codes would be beneficial.
Role Responsibilities

Setting and operating all CNC milling machines (3 & 4 axis).
Understand and interpret engineering drawings and BOMS.
Ensure day to day schedule requirements are met.
Support the operators, ensuring right first-time approach.
Inspect all work produced to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.
Keep scrap levels to a bare minimum.
