CNC Miller

Alecto Recruitment is in partnership with an established Precision Engineering business based in Milton Keynes who have an immediate requirement for an experienced CNC Miller.

We are currently looking for a competent CNC Miller – Skilled machinist , who has experience Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Mills with a Fanuc control. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential. The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations. The main requirements include:

The ability to read engineering drawings.
Working to tight tolerances.
Competent Setting and Machining Soft Jaws.
Competent on all aspects of setting tools, including understanding cutting speeds and feeds.
A good all round knowledge of machining various materials from aluminium to stainless steel.
Experience of working with small batch sizes; such as 1-10 offs.
Ability to write and prove programs.
Experienced in Basic Editing of G Code Programs for Fanuc based controls.
Strong experience using measurement/inspection equipment including Vernier's, bore gauges, micrometres etc.
Carrying out deburring of machined components during production cycles ensuring minimal disruption to production
Highly motivated and can work well in a team
Maintaining work areas in a safe, clean and orderly manner including conformance with ISO9001 standards.Personal Characteristics/Attributes:

A willingness to continually ImproveSalary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum

Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday-Thursday – 08:00 – 15:15 Friday
