Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a chain of custody auditor to join a Global testing company. Our client is looking for someone to ensure the materials, products, and processes that they test, inspect, and certify for customers are safe, conforming and fit for purpose.
Please take into consideration that even though these roles are based in Buckinghamshire they will involve extensive UK travel with the possibility of overseas work in the longer term.
Responsibilities:
Schedule audits for clients ensuring they are in line with target objectives
Develop a deep understanding of the requirements of the Chain of Custody and supply chain schemes.
Undertake audit activities and technical reviews in accordance with certification procedures
Provide technical support and training to all parts of the business
Support the development of in-house training to improve technical scheme knowledge across the audit teams within the company.
To build excellent customer relationships while maintaining a high standard of service
Conduct single and multi-discipline audits, completing overnight stays where necessary and working in relation to the customers needs.
Produce accurate and timely client reports and timesheets to target objectives
To maintain professional status and CPD requirements in accordance with accreditation and business requirements
Develop new audits where required
Communicate and report back to the client regularly to ensure deadlines are met on time and on budget and advise of additional opportunitiesThe Person:
Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably forestry, conservation, environmental related)
Experience of FSC Chain of Custody audit and certification experience is essential for this role
QMS / EMS and/or OHSAS Lead Auditor course or CoC/Supply Chain Lead Auditor course is desirable
Working knowledge of additional schemes (e.g., NHSS, ISO27001 and/or ISO50001) would be desirable
Must be able to influence individuals whilst being diplomatic.
Customer focused
Competent with MS Office applications with good IT skills
Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills
Professional and confident and able to develop strong working relationships
Able to take ownership of clients and manage issues to reach a successful conclusion
Able to work under pressure and to strict deadline
