About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We are looking for Buyer Apprentice to join our team. This role will include liaising with the site teams to ensure best practice for the procurement of materials, goods and services to be delivered to construction sites nationwide. You will raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers on a daily basis. You will report and co-ordinate deliveries to the site management teams and issue, record and manage tender enquiries and quotations for the Estimating team. You will provide support as necessary to the buyers where fluctuations in workload demand.  
 
In this role, the successful candidate will be enrolled on an 18-month Apprenticeship program working towards a Level 3 qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain.

About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications: 

General education to GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
IT literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience of working within an office environment.
Experience of organising, planning and allocating work tasks.
Knowledge of materials buying within the construction industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with all levels of seniority.
Highly motivated and willing to progress career within the procurement discipline.
