I am currently on the lookout for a battery validation engineer for a 6 month rolling contract, outside of IR35, based in the midlands. Rates on offer are dependant on experience, with the majority of the role being working from home.

The role involves the right person to manage a battery test program, so you will be leading the design and result collection of the mechanical testing of batteries. You will be expected to review and address the results of the experiments and liaise with test housing teams.

Needs Experience in High Voltage Traction Battery validation:

Developing a Design Verification Plan (Test Plan) for Virtual and Physical testing
Understanding System Requirements and Physical design to define a Test Plan for Analysis and Physical Testing
Has experience in working on Automotive Traction Battery High Voltage Systems (400 Volts to 650 Volts) – Has Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Degree or Equivalent Experience (minimum 5 years)

– Used to working on their own initiative and capable of managing others (probably 1 report)

– Good attention to detail and delivery focused

– Strong safety focus (essential)
