An Automation Engineer is needed for a well established British manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery & conveyor systems supplying the bottling and beverage industries. This role will encompass electrical & electronic project & contract management as well as offering applications & proposals engineering support dealing direct with clients from home and on site. You MUST be a qualified electrical/electronic engineer and be prepared to cover the whole UK.

BASIC SALARY: up to £60,000

LOCATION: Covering the UK spending 1 day every 2 weeks in the office – 2 days a week on average on client sites with the balance of your time working from home.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Automation Engineer / Controls Engineer / Project Engineer – end of line machinery / bottling conveyor systems

You will be responsible for projects & contracts management from order to installation as well as offering applications & proposals engineering support, concentrating on the electrical / electronic engineering part of the project. You will be working with PLC`s working alongside the companies project management & sales teams.

If you are ambitious or have previous management experience you will be asked to manage a team of field Automation Engineers in the future.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Automation Engineer / Controls Engineer / Project Engineer – end of line machinery / bottling conveyor systems

· You MUST have a proven track record as a Automation, Controls or Project Engineer
· You MUST have specific experience of bottling systems supplied to the beverage industry
· You MUST be a qualified Electrical / Electronic Engineer (ideally to HNC level) and be familiar with PLC`s
· You will be comfortable working for a SME family owned business
