We are an exciting new technology company based in the Milton Keynes area with large company backing and a rich history of success in the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Our continued growth has created the requirement for an Assembly Technician to join our friendly established team of specialists for a six month period. There is the potential for extension but candidates need to be aware the role could end on six months.
The Assembly Technician Role:
– Build & assembly of high voltage batteries for various applications.
– Work from instructions, diagram and engineering drawings to complete technical processes.
– Assembly preparation work.
– Harness build & assembly
– Build & assembly of mechanical and electrical prototype parts
– Read and understand technical drawings & build manuals
– Carry out inspection and tests of manufactured component
– Completion of repetitive work with progression into more technically challenging activities with proven competence and on site training.
The Successful Assembly Technician:
Essential
– Experience working on mechanical assemblies
– Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
– Ability to maintain a high quality of output
– Experience using hand and power tools
– Flexible approach to work schedule and to assist in production assembly build plan
– Proactive approach towards health and safety
– Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Desirable
– Experience with high voltage applications
– Experience with electrical components build and assembly process
– Experience of working on and understanding of production lines.
– Understanding of electrical components, and their functionality
– Understanding of High Voltage working environments
– Experience working in a prototype/ R&D environment
Hours – 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (7am – 3pm)
