Mechanical Assembly Engineer
Working for a high-tech engineering company you will join an assembly team who are vital in the delivery of high-tech products. You will be working with a low volume and high value electro-mechanical product range and will need a strong problem-solving mind set. You will be working as part of a close nit team on repair and build of both legacy and brand-new products. You will need a strong mechanical background and some knowledge of electrical principles.
They are currently in the process of developing new technology and adding products to their portfolio that will revolutionise the industry. They are looking to add 2 technically strong assembly technicians to the team. You will assist with the build of complex machine equipment in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
You will join a team where you can make a difference and be part of their ambitious growth. Continuous improvement will be key in everything you do, improving processes and streamlining production, so having the mindset of driving continuous improvement principles would be very desirable. For this position you will ideally have a formal qualification in engineering with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge. You will need to be very technically minded and be able to get up to speed with the product range quickly, you will need experience with engineering diagrams, assembling, build and repair, the position is very hands on . ability to read engineering diagrams/schematics.
Test and fault find when required.
Assemble/clean components.
Soldering.
Liaise with departments to ensure smooth production process.
Production improvement ideas.
Formal qualification – HND/Degree/Apprenticeship.
Mechanical and Electrical understanding.
Continuous improvement knowledge.
