Architectural Technologist
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an architectural technologist to work within the architectural division of a global engineering services consultancy. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding flagship residential, commercial and industrial projects.

In this role, the architectural technologist will play a vital part in producing models, drawings, design analyses relating to project requirements. As a critical member of the architectural team, you will also manage communications with the clients, consultants and contractors. The architectural technologist will primarily operate within the housing sector, with commercial and retail involvement across various projects.
The Person
The Successful architectural technician will have gained experience in a similar role within a housing developer, consultancy or architectural practice and will have a solid capability to use CAD and ideally Revit.
Duties
Working alongside the line manager to help in the technical delivery of projects
Establish and maintain positive connections with external project team members.
Ensure that the technical aspects of design comply with regulations and meet client requirements.
Make site/client visits and assist with site inspections and surveys.
Coordinating detailed design information
Preparing drawings, plans, and documents for statutory approvals
Preparing specifications for construction work
Ensuring all work is in line with current legislation and industry standards
Provide technical guidance to clients and liaise with construction design teams
Applying sound technical knowledge to completed designs
Experienced in using CAD to produce housing layouts, street scenes and working drawings.
Support in managing and verifying CAD/ Revit designsQualifications and Experience
Degree qualified with the UK recognised certificates in a relevant discipline in Architecture
Ideally, part II RIBA qualified
Experience in working in a consultancy, housing developer or architectural practice.
Ideally have completed work to RIBA stage 5
Experience in using CAD ideally Revit to produce layouts and working drawings; however full training will be given.You need to be living and eligible to work in the UK to be suitable for this position
