An exciting opportunity has arisen within our expanding Service Team for two apprentices in our Industrial Air Filtration business. One position will be based in the North of the UK the other in the South of the UK. As this is an apprenticeship, the contract we are offering for this position being a 3- year fixed term apprenticeship contract, whilst the training of the apprenticeship is undertaken.

Description
The successful candidate will have the desire & attitude to work closely within a team and must be committed to do their training and driven to want to develop and progress within their role and potentially longer term within the company.
Within the role of a field based Apprentice Service Engineer there will be daily travel throughout your allocated region of either the North or South of England with occasional requirements to travel to the other regions depending on business demands. In addition to this you will be required to travel to our Head Office based in Leicester as and when necessary together with overnight stays depending on location of the work being carried out.
To ensure effective coverage of our North UK customer base the ideal location for candidates would be within any of the following postcodes of BD / HX / HD / WF / LS / OL / M.
For our South UK customer base, the ideal location for candidates would be within any of the following postcodes of SL / HP / RG / LU / OX / MK / AL / SG.
Key responsibilities will be to:
•Assist, support & undertake in all service related activities within the respective North or South region, at times there may be a request to work nationwide, supporting colleagues in all areas to maintain, service and test relevant Donaldson/others products and also support our increasing Connected Solutions offering
•Efficiently arrive at & attend customers sites in a timely and presentable manner.
•Identify opportunities for service upgrades, spare parts & aftermarket care.
•Develop and maintain customer relationships.
•Ensure all required and relevant paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely fashion.
Your Profile:
You will need to be able to work well as part of a wider team & when required individually and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times. The successful candidate will have the ability to learn quickly, be open to improving and have a good eye for spotting opportunities. A friendly, proactive, hardworking individual with a can do attitude would excel in this role.
Key Attributes:
•Electro – mechanical bias – supporting our Connected Solutions development program
•Strong planning and organisational skills
•Full Clean UK Driving Licence
•Willing to travel nationwide
•Good IT skills
•Excellent communication skills
•Responsible attitude with an awareness of health and safety
•Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering
•Experience/knowledge of mechanical engineering or dust collection would be advantageous.
