A superb opportunity for an ambitious qualified Engineer with some client facing experience looking for a career move into sales. Initially this will be as an office based Applications Engineer / Sales Administrator, but will ultimately lead to an external sales role for a market leading manufacturer of bespoke packaging machinery supplied to the food, chemical & pharmaceutical markets.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £38,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Applications Engineer – packaging machinery manufacturer
 
An Applications Engineer role offering technical sales support to the companies sales team and its clients including quote preparation plus various sales administration tasks.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Applications Engineer – packaging machinery manufacturer
 
· You WILL be a qualified Engineer (mechanical, electrical/electronic or chemical) with some client facing experience
· Any previous Project Management or Applications Engineer experience would be advantageous but is not essential
· Any previous experience within the food, chemical or pharmaceutical markets would also be advantageous
· Ideally with a full Apprenticeship leading to ONC or HNC level qualifications or indeed a Degree in mechanical, electrical/electronic or chemical engineering
 
THE COMPANY:
 
A market leading UK manufacturer of bespoke packaging machinery supplying the food, chemical & pharmaceutical markets selling in the Uk and Worldwide. Order values range from £15,000 for a simple machine up to lines costing circa £1million. They sell to end users mainly but also to OEMs & System integrators.
 
PROSPECTS:
 
Success in this Applications Engineer role will lead to a move into an external sales role in 3 to 5 years if that is the route you want to follow to develop your career.
