Application Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes – London

Salary – Circa £45,000 package/Company Car/Tools/Bonus/Pension/Income Protection/Death in Service x 4/22 days holiday.

My client is a fast growing, marketing leading manufacturer who is looking for an experienced Applications Manager to come join their team to cover the UK, Ireland with travel to Europe being involved. They are looking for an individual who wants to join a business who values their employees and wants to further grow and develop their career.

My client is looking for an individual who can cover all areas of post and pre sales.

The role:

*

Attending client sites across the UK, Ireland and Europe to train customers how to set and operate our equipment across the Cincom and Miyano range of equipment

*

Use of Fanuc or Mitsubishi and working knowledge of CAM software

*

Advising customers on ways to optimise their programs to minimise cycle time and help with new programming techniques.

*

Tooling and machine setting advice

*

Software assistance – helping you get the most from any supporting software packages

*

During the pre-sales period study component drawings and provide cycle time analysis.

*

Attending client sites and conducting On-machine training

The Candidate:

*

Ability to fully program/plan/prepare tooling lists for multi spindle/multi axis lathes

*

Experience of turning machines with milling capability and with power tools and sub spindles

*

Experience of interpreting complex engineering drawings and working to exacting tolerances

*

Experience of ISO Controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi)

*

Experience of CAM software

*

Experience in G Code Programming

*

Able to problem solve

*

Experience of training teams

*

Willingness to often work away from home Monday to Friday and ability to travel UK wide and occasionally to Europe

*

Experience of time studies and test cuts
