An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer – Digital / FPGA based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to join a leading engineering company that design a range of electronic components sold all over the world.

Our client is looking for someone with good skills and experience with digital and FPGA design, with the role being a strong mixture of the two (around 60% high speed digital board and 40% FPGA).

The main purpose of the role is to support firmware and digital interface design for the RF product line, and support the development of the digital product roadmap.

The main responsibilities for the Senior Electronic Design Engineer – Digital / FPGA, will include:
-Designing digital state machine architectures and logic circuits
-The creation of FPGA designs using VHDL
-Working in a multi-functional department supporting RF, mechanical, software and production engineers
-Working with manufacturing to resolve technical problems as required

Some of the key experiences and competencies for the Senior Electronic Design Engineer – Digital / FPGA role are:
-Significant experience in digital electronics design
-Significant experience programming FGPAs in VHDL or other FPGA development languages
-Experience with Python for development of test software (beneficial, not essential)
-Experience of PCB layout using Altium or similar (beneficial, not essential)
-Experience working on RF products (beneficial, not essential)
