Our client is a market leading provider of award-winning test and inspection systems for destructive and non-destructive mechanical testing and inspection of electronic components. With their innovative technology they set the standard in industrial testing and inspection equipment for today's electronics manufacturing operations.
Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Production Engineer within the Electrical / High Voltage team in Buckinghamshire.
As a Production Engineer HV/Electrical, you will be working within a team of Engineers to provide technical support to Production, design and manufacture test equipment and lead continuous improvement activities. Your principal focus will be on x-ray systems and sub-components like High Voltage Power Supply and PCBA.
An important part of this role is to investigate and implement product improvements in production & controlling and to co-ordinate projects by taking a proactive approach to resolve problems. You will have a great attention to detail, particularly to all necessary rules and regulations when working with x-ray products and high voltage.
This role would be perfect for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in mechanical/electrical assemblies, who is looking to join a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging team.
As a Production Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with international colleagues within Engineering, Purchasing, QC and R&D, travel occasionally internationally and apply your knowledge to improve existing processes & products and bring in new processes and technologies.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with a high level of technical knowledge.
3+ years' experience in similar production environment in a high technology industry.
Previous experience with High Voltage (200kV).
An adaptable, flexible approach and customer focus.
Ability to appreciate technical topics and subject matter.
Confident, with aptitude to debate.
Detail-oriented and organised with ability to multitask and prioritise through shifting schedules in workflow.
Innovative in thought and able to design & propose alternative solutions when faced with barriers
