What will you be doing?
As our Meter Technician you will manage your own workload so will feel like you are your own boss with the support of a big organisation behind you. Your day to day activities will include:
• Obtain accurate readings from water meters
• Carry out meter exchanges
• Collect data
• Lastly and most importantly provide excellent customer service.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys working autonomously and getting out and about meeting customers.
What do you need?
We are looking for customer focused individuals who are based in the Milton Keynes area to ensure the needs of our customers are met. You will be representing one of the leading water providers in the UK, so a professional image is very important, we will provide you with uniform and a van. The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day. You will also use a hand held computer to carry out your work.
The hours are flexible between the working window of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays this includes early morning starts and late evenings until 8pm as this is when our customers are most likely to be at home. You will work a 37 hour week.
