As the Inventory Control Lead you will be responsible for managing inventory within BPChargemaster, owner for all material, cycle counting, regular reporting and alignment with finance on key metrics. Key Responsibilities
* Line management responsibility for a team of stock clerks and operatives.
* Coordinate the team to carry out monthly, weekly and daily inventory processes to support stock file integrity, service level and operational efficiency.
* Coordinate and conduct daily perpetual stock counts in line with schedule and investigate and report on variances.
* Produce daily inventory summary reports to highlight potential risks to service level and required action to resolve.
* Set up all new products on the Warehouse Management System ensuring product attributes are entered correctly and pick locations allocated. •
* Maintain configuration of pick location attributes to maximise capacity and operational efficiency.
* Maintain pick location availability tracking, escalating upcoming challenges •
* Fully investigate all stock integrity issues to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
* Produce daily and weekly operational KPI reports
* Carry out inventory adjustments, maintaining an accurate view of availability and escalating where appropriate.
* Issue proactive updates on inventory adjustments to stakeholders such as Supply, Finance, etc.
* Collate information on product packaging, order quantities & carton specific to address with the Supply team in order to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
* Coordinate team to action any stock clearance requests promptly and accurately.
* Carry out daily checks to maintain inventory integrity and protect service level
* Plan and carry out quarterly, weekly and daily stock moves to support operational efficiency.
* Support the operation with intelligence on incoming and outgoing products to enable appropriate prioritisation of workload.
* Respond to any relevant and appropriate inventory queries raised by other areas of the business.
* Act as the site super-user for the Warehouse Management System and support the operation with education following any process non-compliance that results in inventory issues.
* Monitor inventory integrity of any third party storage site.
* Carry out adhoc stock alignments between WMS and SAP to address fulfilment issues
* Communication with stores regarding discrepancies
* Maintain the SOPs for the department.
* Train all colleagues in line with the department SOPs.
* Deliver daily briefings to colleagues to ensure all messages are communicated in full.
* Work with the head of supply chain & procurement to develop Job Descriptions
* Develop a career path structure for inventory teams
