This is a fantastic opportunity for a health and safety practitioner looking for that next step where you he/she make a significant difference within a large and exciting organisation like bp pulse.

As key member of the bp pulse the Health and Safety advisor will provide challenge, coaching and advice to the production team as well as supporting the HSE&C plan deliverables and continuous improvement in safety performance.

This role will directly assist the bp pulse HSE&C Manager and the Senior Leadership Team shape the HSSE strategic agenda by supporting the implementation and delivery of conformance with our Operating Management System (OMS) requirements and compliance with UK HSE related legislation.

The Health and Safety advisor will help foster a culture of care by driving safety culture improvement via a deep understanding of human performance.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

* Provide HSSE support and technical expertise for the operational teams based in Linford Wood

* Ensure that effective risk assessment processes are in place for all the site's activities, including general risk assessments, COSHH, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, and other statutory requirements.

* Promote and assist with the implementation of the bp Operating Management System

* Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture throughout, encouraging and setting best-practice examples to people across all levels of the business

* Investigate and submit recommendations following incidents and near miss reports

* Lead and delivering in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks

* Provide regular updates to leadership regarding status of actions and interventions

* Support local self- verification activities, ensure actions and mitigations are identified for gaps and improvement areas

* Other duties as a business need arises
