An exciting fresh opening for a Hardware Development Engineer or Electronics Engineer looking for a challenging career where they can develop and progress with a leading multinational engineering company who currently design and develop futuristic factory automation products for covering various industries including: Automotive, Scientific, Renewable Energy, Space, Medical, Food Processing and Consumer Products.
Location: Milton Keynes & Home Based (flexible)
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 – depending on experience, superb career and technical progression available, Bonus Scheme, Pension, Private Medical Insurance, 25 days holiday, sports and social club and subsidised canteen.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Electronic Development Engineer:
The Hardware Development Engineer will have demonstrated the ability to work at a high level with minimal management. They will support their team to coach and mentor less experienced Engineers.
Project Management – Manage projects of significance, taking responsibility for their successful on time completion.
New Product Development – Working closely with Engineers in the company to develop new products meeting market specifications. Arranging to produce prototypes, carry out performance and life tests and evaluate results.
Taking responsibility of larger and development projects ensuring timely completion.
Digital and analogue hardware design.
CAD software for electronic/electrical schematics.
PCB design
Carrying out testing of electrical/electronic
Experience / Qualifications required – Hardware Engineer:
You will have a degree BSc, BEng or MEng, MSc in Electronics / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Control Systems Engineering / Software Engineering / Mechatronics / Instrumentation or similar subject.
Ideally have 5 or more years Electronics/Electrical/Software/Hardware experience within in at least four of the following:
·Writing software in C for microcontrollers
·Writing applications in C#, C++, VB, python, etc
·Writing Docker applications
·Digital and analogue Electronic Hardware design
·PCB design software
·CAD software for electronic/electrical schematics
·Industrial Internet of Things
Be responsible for proposals and concepts for special products to meet specific customers’ requirements
Identifying specific training needs based on products question trends.
Identifying market trends, particularly with competitors’ products, solutions and applications.
Understanding the directives and standards that are applicable to the products in the relevant section.
Mentoring and coaching – Mentor and coach Engineers to improve their knowledge and understanding of the company and processes.
Key skills / areas of interest:
PCB, Circuit design, Veroboard, Breadboard, LTSpice, Zuken CR-8000, Analogue electronic, Digital electronic, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), EMI Filters, LVD (Low Voltage Directive), Electronic simulation, Radio Frequency, Radiated Inmunity/Emissions, Power Electronics, ESD Electrostatic Discharge and FBT Fast Burst Transient.
