bp pulse provides Electric Vehicle Charging equipment for use in Home, Workplace and Public environments.
We own and operate the UK’s largest charging network (Polar) and have over 40,000 home chargers installed in domestic properties.
As Hardware Engineer you will deliver continuous improvements and new features to the electronics and electrical hardware in the bp pulse product range. You will be working closely with the Embedded Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Validation Engineers and key stakeholders in the business to research, develop and improve hardware components of new and existing products.
bp pulse will play a critical role in supporting BP’s ambition to achieve “Net Zero by 2050”. We are seeking talented and enthusiastic engineers to make this happen.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
* Research new technologies in electronics and related hardware
* Develop innovative solutions to expand and improve our product range
* Design electronics hardware solutions to meet system requirements
* Define, review and manage electronics hardware requirements
* Ensure compliance to safety standards, legislations and requirements
* Build and validate prototypes against requirements and standards
* Support development of system engineering designs
* Support design validation of electronics components
* Support product certification
* Contribute to architectural level design
* Investigate and fix electrical and electronics hardware issues
* Write technical reports
