bp pulse provides Electric Vehicle Charging equipment for use in Home, Workplace and Public environments.

We own and operate the UK’s largest charging network (Polar) and have over 40,000 home chargers installed in domestic properties.

As Hardware Engineer you will deliver continuous improvements and new features to the electronics and electrical hardware in the bp pulse product range. You will be working closely with the Embedded Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Validation Engineers and key stakeholders in the business to research, develop and improve hardware components of new and existing products.

bp pulse will play a critical role in supporting BP’s ambition to achieve “Net Zero by 2050”. We are seeking talented and enthusiastic engineers to make this happen.

· Research new technologies and support proof-of-concept development

· Develop innovative solutions to expand and improve our product range

· Design and develop solutions to meet system requirements

· Define, review and manage software and firmware requirements

· Ensure compliance to safety standards, legislations and requirements

· Support development of system engineering designs

· Support design validation of embedded software solutions

· Support product certification

· Investigate and fix software and firmware issues

· Write technical reports
