Duties and responsibilities:
Work within the product development team to support the electronics hardware and system development.
Support hardware testing, including designing and building test benches and systems interfaces for functional testing.
Take part in and conduct hardware design and test plan reviews.
Support troubleshooting and RCA when problems are identified.
To be considered for this role, we require the following:
Essential
Experience of working within an Electronics/Engineering lab.
Practical experience in bringing up complex PCBs
Fault finding experience on PCBs and hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeter and other appropriate lab equipment.
Experience of soldering + PCB rework of leadless chips, 0.3mm pitch connectors and components down to 0402
Knowledge and experience of analogue and digital electronics (eg transistors, diodes, ICs as well as amplifier, sensors and motor control circuits).
Knowledge of microcontrollers, and communications and network interface protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN and ethernet
Practical, working IT knowledge.
Willingness to learn. Happy to jump on a new tool/software and go through the learning curve
Desirable
Embedded C, C++, C#, MATLAB.
Computer Aided Design experience (2D and/or 3D).
Good mechanical and construction skills, to able to make and modify mechanical assemblies with hand tools but also assist in building small test benches, electronics enclosures etc
