Development Engineer required to join my client in Buckinghamshire.

What is the job?
As a Development Engineer, you will be part of a fantastic team who are responsible for developing and increasing the company’s product portfolio as they look to break into new markets such as Automotive industry.
Some of the duties are:
Active member in performing verification and validation tests. Guaranteeing the product meets the converters specification and the company’s reliability targets.
Taking responsibility for development of the product from concept to mass production. Actively design 1-30W isolated DC-DC converters and AC-DC converters for industrial, medical, and automotive applications.
Support to the customer with technical knowledge and advice
Communicating closely with the production and test engineering teams to ensure that products are suitable for mass production.
Participate in failure analysis, supporting the quality team to highlight design improvements.
What are we looking for?
A Qualification equivalent to a UK degree level in electronics, physics or a related discipline. Candidates with a HND or HNC in Electronics (or a related discipline) will also be considered if they have extensive experience.
Ideally 2 years + of experience with electronics. Power conversion with be advantageous
Has a good theoretical understanding of analogue electronics and magnetics. Analog IC Design is highly sought after
Knowledge of simulation software used in electronics design such as FEA and circuit simulation.
Hands on experience designing electronic components for volume manufacture.
