We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager. This a newly created role within bpCM Expansion Team and a successful applicant will be responsible for leading the growth of UK’s largest public charging EV network – “Polar” – building the offer complementing existing infrastructure beyond bp retail forecourts.

The scale of bpCM ambition is 1,600 High Power Chargers(HPC) by 2030.

To achieve this target the objective of the role is to focus on off-forecourts opportunities, i.e.:

* Forecourts of dealer networks of other brands that do not have plans to develop their own CPO / eMSP solution

* Fully dedicated Electric Forecourt (brownfield and greenfield)

* Electric Mobility Hubs

* Large roll-out of charging infrastructure along well recognised retail brands (e.g. drive-throughs) and / or single opportunities with large footfall (airports, shopping malls, etc…)

Key Responsibilities & Tasks :

* Builds a robust pipeline of business opportunities in terms of locations and potential partnerships to maximise the growth of bpCM HPC beyond bp forecourts

* Drives strategic partnerships with retail brands, real estate operators, general investors and aggregators to enable scaled-up business opportunities both on supply (growing the infrastructure) and demand side (building utilization: B2B, B2B2C fleets, etc.) to speed-up the roll-out of HPCs

* Manages and prioritise the opportunities funnel based on economic evaluation and strategic importance ensuring optimum network footprint

* Works with bpCM finance team and manages the investment approval process to secure necessary sign-off

* Works closely with the bpCM legal team and external parties and leads commercial negotiations necessary to secure the project

* Works with bpCM Marketing team to build synergies from joint marketing activities with partners to drive bpCM customer acquisition

* Review and optimise existing relationships, defining and implementing renegotiation strategies as required

* Define a clear programme of works for bpCM installation team for forecourt roll-out

* Leads required operational and project meetings and provides regular up-date on program status to Head of Expansion and Management
