The Provision & LSA role in Milton keynes
**Specialist Autistic School for children aged 7-17, tailored curriculum for each students
**ADHD, Aspergers, OCD, Dyslexia and a focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges
**Real diversity in each classes, from non verbal to some anti-social elements, hence the focus on ABA Applied Behaviour Analysis
**Outstanding Teaching and support team in place – EYFS to KS4
**Watching OTs, Speech and Language and Art/Music Therapists at work
**Focus on trauma and nature nurture, restorative practices are focused on
**Focus on learning need and Autism, delivering key and personal/functional skills
**Practical, creative and vocational subjects, what sparks joy for the students and will help them positively contribute to society
**125 students, classes of 6-8 ranging on ability, interest and age
**£75 per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30 long term to permanent role
**MAPA and ABA Training provided
This is a Learning Support Assistant role that will put you into challenging, sometimes Anti-Social contexts that will build your foundations of experience. With this LSA role starting after, de-escalation and the language around it is incredibly important! This is a specialist school where empathy and pragmatism are key, focus on the holistic and therapeutic.
Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement are the key skills in this LSA role. This is supplemented by a tailored curriculum for each student, CBT and ABA therapies employed.
