Year 3 Teacher in High Wycombe for a start after October half term

We now offer you an exciting opportunity as a Year 3 teacher within an established and reputable primary school setting located in the High Wycombe area of Buckinghamshire.
It is a small but friendly and diverse primary school located in Buckinghamshire who believe laying the foundations during primary education lead to life long learning and well rounded adults. They are active in the community and encourage families involvement within school life. They are extremely supportive of their staff and provide regular CPD and opportunities for team building.
The role will require you to:
– Support across Year 3 including planning, teaching and implementing the national curriculum and conducting assessments
– Endorsing the schools behaviour code and assessing student behaviour patterns to manage it positively
– Delivering and developing schemes of work
– Experience in working with SEN students in a mainstream classroom is preferable
– Preparing daily and long-term lesson plans according to curriculum guidelines
– Teaching a full range of subject areas.
– Developing children’s interests and abilities using a variety of creative activities including art, sport and music.
– Maintaining productive working habits and discipline in the classroom.
– Supervising students throughout the day, both in the classroom and outside during breaks.
– Attending staff meetings and training and development sessions.
– Assessing and evaluating students’ educational progress and abilities.
– Setting and conducting testing.
– Discussing students’ progress with parents and guardians, administrators and other professionals as necessary.
– Organising, attending and supervising school activities such as excursions, school concerts, camps and sporting events.
The ideal candidate:
An individual with a passion to thrive and the confidence to deliver well-planned, organised lessons. Previous experience or exposure to teaching Year 3, and some experience in providing intervention strategies as well as dealing with SEN students.
A recognised teaching qualification is compulsory.
