Teaching Assistant

Full Time – Starting ASAP or after Easter 

This school is a specialist provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs  and Autism. Some pupils are based at the school full time, while other attend part time while still attending a mainstream school.

The are looking to recruit a numebr of Teaching Assistant to join the schools support team and offer one to one or small group learning based on the primary national curriculum.

Successful Teaching Assistants:

Educated to GCSE level
Have strong knowledge of SEND (social, emotional and mental health needs/ Autism) from previous experience supporting children or adult.
Aware of the barriers pupils will face when learning and to implement strategies to help overcome the barrier
Have a cheerful, positive and approachable personality
Confident with behaviour management
Able to work well as part of a very close education team
The school prides itself on keeping staff up to date with training and teaching methods. They also have strong capacity to support teachers with career development and progression in the field of education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
