About the Provision
Teaching Personnel have picked up a full time Teaching Assistant vacancy at a specialist provision in Slough. The schools support KS1 and KS2 children who have been excluded from mainstream education. The aim of the provision is to offer emotional and behavioural intervention to help pupils, allowing them to transition back in to mainstream school. Some pupils will also attend the provision part time while still at mainstream school for additional intervention support.
All pupils at the provision will have an educational health care plan (EHCP) for social emotional mental health needs (SEMH) and autism. It’s a small provision, currently supporting 60 students. Each class will cater for 8 – 10 pupils and consist of a main class teacher and numerous specialist teaching assistants. All pupils will be working to the primary national curriculum but will require support either one to one or in small groups, to help them remain engaged in education.
