OVERVIEW: TEACHER (LST) & L5 MANAGEMENT TUTOR

Our client, a well-established private training provider, is currently seeking an experienced Management Trainer to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Management and Teacher qualifications.

You will be responsible for delivering Management Apprenticeships levels 3 & 5, and the Learning & Skills Teacher Apprenticeship at Level 5.

The Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) is 'dual-professional', having first achieved competence in a vocational or subject specialism and then subsequently trained as a teacher. This means that many teachers in the Education and Training Sector (ETS) begin teaching as a second, or even later, career. The LST role is pivotal to the success of traineeship and apprenticeship programmes, in delivering effective vocational education and training that meets both learners' and employers' needs.

The LST Apprenticeship is relatively new so we are not looking for experience in delivering this qualification, it can be taught. The support, resources and learners are in place. What you will need, is a teaching qualification at L5 (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS), a Level 5 Management qualification, Assessor award along with occupational experience in management and teaching.

Most of the work involves remote delivery from home (individual and workshop delivery), although there will be a need to see the learner 2 or 3 times a year for observations in the workplace. The learner caseload is located across the Midlands and South East areas, so you will need to be flexible to travel across this region on occasions.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: TEACHER (LST) & L5 MANAGEMENT TUTOR

With a passion for working with others and supporting learners towards maximising their full potential, you will take responsibility for managing a caseload of learners, creating a bespoke and meaningful lesson plan and schedule of learning to support and motivate learners towards achieving qualifications, stretching their learning, increasing their knowledge and capabilities, and supporting them while they evolve intellectually and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: TEACHER (LST) & L5 MANAGEMENT TUTOR

Occupational experience within Management and Teaching
Level 5 Management qualification
Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
Relevant Teaching Qualification at L5 or above
Confident with English and Maths (grade C or above or Functional Skills Level 2)
Excellent attention to detail / Time management skills
Positive and dynamic with the ability to think on your feet and solve problems
Passion for people development
Full UK Driving License and use of own vehicleSALARY/BENEFITS: TEACHER (LST) & L5 MANAGEMENT TUTOR

Starting salary range between £32-35k (depending on qualifications and experience)
Mileage (paid from the home) and / or travelling expenses paid in full
