I am now recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants in Millton Keynes and surrounding areas for work for now and January 2021
This can be either daily assignments (such as to cover sickness), or short term assignments which is anything up to 6 weeks or longterm leading to a permanent post .
Previous experience is not essential, we are looking for passionate candidates who have the right attitude and transferable skills and who are looking to gain experience within a specialist environment.
Maybe you are a former Sports coach, Youth Worker, Mentor, Social Worker, Workshop Facilitator or support worker? Are you a graduate with an interest in SEN teaching assistant work. . This could be a stepping stone to a new career
What you will be doing in a SEND role :
You may be required to work with a range of abilities and age groups, in varied classroom environments and all children and young people will have special needs – autism , severe learning needs , speech/ language and communication difficulties , social emotional and mental health issues .plus a variety of complex needs .
You will work on a 1 to 1 basis or with small groups, assisting them in and out of the classroom for various activities such as community outings.
You may be required to do personal care but not necessarily .
You will work closely with other school staff, and take direction from the class teacher and other staff members.
You will need to build strong relationships with pupils and staff, whilst still maintaining professional boundaries and be proactive, friendly, outgoing and taking the initiative at all times.
