SENCO needed in two Schools.
Academics are currently working with two large Academies in Buckinghamshire who are looking for full time SENCOs, one role is to start in September and one for October.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and skill working with young people who require support with one or more of the following; communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social emotional and mental health and sensory and physical needs.
Equally, they will have a knowledge of working with children with English as an Additional Language and medical needs. In addition, the candidate will have excellent classroom experience and an ability to balance a teaching timetable alongside the responsibilities of the role.
We are looking for a dedicated individuals to lead these SEND Departments and who will continue to develop and strive for excellence and outstanding SEND provision across the schools. You will need to have experience of management and leadership at whole school level.
Required Qualifications:
English and Maths GCSE A*-C
Degree
Qualified teacher status (some Teaching is involved in the roles)
National Award for SEN Co-ordination(Team Teach trained or another positive handling qualification)

Person Qualities
Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Ability to plan and evaluate interventions
Data analysis skills, and the ability to use data to inform provision planning
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Able to plan, prioritise and organise own work schedule
Able to work with students within school teaching and learning and behaviour management policy
Have optimism, sense of humour and ability to solve problems.
A sound understanding of how the surrounding Local Authorities manage the provision for special educational needs and disabilities in their localities.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times
Commitment to safeguarding and equality
