SEN Teaching Assistant
North Buckinghamshire

We are inviting support staff who are keen, driven and motivated to support students within mainstream and SEN schools who have a range of special needs such as Austim, Specific learning disability (SLD) which refers to a disorder in one or more of the basic processes involved in understanding or using language, spoken or written, that may manifest itself in an imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell or perform mathematical calculations.
We ask all SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and expanding schools in Buckinghamshire, who specialise in children with SLD, PMLD and Additional Complex Needs including ASD.
Salary: Minimum £80 to £100 per day
Location: Buckinghamshire
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)
The successful applicants will have:
Previous experience working with people with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Strong behaviour management skills
Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers
Excellent literacy, numeracy & ICT skills
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
The role will consist of:
Offering support to the class teacher
Austim, Specific learning disability (SLD)
Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans
Building good student – teacher rapport
Support aspects of personal and intimate care
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH SUPPLY DESK, YOU MUST:
Hold an enhanced child & adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
