Teacher of Science Vacancy at a reputable and 'Good' Ofsted Secondary School in the heart of Milton Keynes for an immediate start.

Planning and Marking responsibilities
This opportunity requires a Qualified Science Teacher who is able to support KS3 and KS4 pupils. The Syllabus follows AQA SOW for KS3 and KS4, with each topic around 5-6 weeks in duration with an assessment at the end of each topic. The aim of KS3 is to enthuse students with appreciation of science learning and allow them to discover how things work. They provide a grounding in Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as looking at scientific problem solving and use of evidence to develop theories and explanations.
In regards to KS4, all students follow either a Triple. (separate science route) and gain a GCSE per subject or the Combined Trilogy Science Route and gain 2 GCSE’s. Combined Trilogy classes are taught in bands of ability, students who take Trilogy are able to access Level 3 courses. Triple science is the demanding option for students and is designed for those who have a real love and aptitude for Science and who may wish to carry on their studies at A-level, classes are mixed but higher ability.
Ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, having completed the PGCE or SCITT course as a route to QTS, and will have good knowledge of the Science KS3 to KS5 Curriculum.
The examination board followed is AQA but are happy to receive applications from Educators experienced with other specifications. You must be passionate about Science, friendly, keen to be involved and be open to long-term or permanent opportunity.
