School Business/Operations Manager
Location: Milton Keynes MK6 area

Salary: SCP 23 – 30 (£27,741 – £33,782)
We have a very exciting School Business/Operations Manager permanent posting available with a small school trust. This trust consists of 7 schools in total and the position is based across two primary schools within Milton Keynes based next to each other.
The Operations Manager will report to the Headteacher and will manage the day to day operations of the school. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, efficient, effective, great with people and willing to work as part of the school's leadership team.

Closing date: 4pm on Friday 8th January 2021. The trust are looking to appoint someone as soon as possible however will wait until February 2021 for the right person should they need to serve a notice period.

Finance Responsibilities: The post-holder will carry out some/ all of the following:
Complete month end management accounts, including reconciliation, variance analysis and forecasting
Reconcile and post payroll
Bank Reconciliations and month end control processes
Cover for School Finance Officers when required to include processing purchase and sales ledgers, where appropriate
Train Group Finance Officers in process and systems Assist in the annual year end process for all schools.
Project work to ensure financial systems are efficient and effective and best value is always achieved.
Assisting in the development of Budgets.
Ensuring that all records and documents are available for both internal and external audit and assisting the Chief Financial Officer and Auditors through the audit.
Identify and adjust accounts to recognise prepayments and accruals
Attend meetings in relation to role
Any other duties as directed by the Chief Financial Officer

This position demands flexibility in working hours so that tasks are completed, exchanging work time when busy for social time when not busy
To be totally reliable with excellent time management skills. Once entrusted with a task, to efficiently use time to ensure that it is completed on time, or to raise with the Chief Finance Officer the reasons why the task cannot be completed, at the earliest opportunity
