Retail Associate IQA
Summary and Main Purpose:
To provide internal quality assurance of the agreed standards in line with Assessu policies and procedures and the IFATE Quality Framework requirements
Key Accountabilities:
To ensure all assessments are conducted consistently and reliably and delivered in line with the published EPA plan irrespective of the end point assessor or the organisation involved.
To assure that grading is applied accurately and consistently in line with descriptors stated in the end point assessment plan or Assessu guidelines.
To provide end point assessors with developmental, factual, constructive feedback and remedial actions to improve practice in end-point assessment.
To devise a sampling plan that covers a calendar year and conduct quality assurance activities in line with this plan, the risk rating of the end point assessor across each assessment method/assessment plan
To complete all documentation as required for audit and EQA, including contact with EPAs to evidence support and guidance
To participate in EQA visits as required and to respond timely to EQA feedback to improvement all aspects of assessment practice.
To keep up-to-date with EQA requirements through standardisation meetings and involvement in EQA visits.
To maintain and record own continuous professional development specifically for all standards quality assuring as required by Assessu and the relevant EQA organisation.
To uphold and promote Assessu’s policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work for instance the Malpractice and Maladministration and the Equality and Diversity procedures.
To complete and carry out standardisation meetings in line with the quality planner.
Any other duties reasonably requested by the line manager.

Qualifications:
Essential
Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT Level 2 (or equivalent)
Relevant occupational qualification
A1 / V1 Awards, D32/D33/D34/A1/V1/TAQA Awards
Desirable
Coaching qualification
Teaching qualification
Experience:
Essential
Experience of quality assurance in an education and training organisation
Relevant occupational sector experience, and/or current updated CPD
Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
Assessment processes and evidence capture
Experience of apprenticeship standards and IQA processes
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential
Knowledge of specified End Point Assessment Plans
Good communication and presentation skills, oral and written
Good general IT awareness
Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision
Experience of writing reports
Full valid driving licence
Overnight stays as required
Desirable
Confidence to resist pressure from stakeholders/interested parties
Ability to travel to locations throughout the UK as required
