Worldwide Education is looking for an excellent cook for the position of Nursery Chef within a lovely nursery setting in Milton Keynes MK2. The position is part time on a permanent basis, starting ASAP. The role is 5 hours a day Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm throughout the year.

Purpose of the role:

As a Nursery Chef you will be responsible for the day to day catering at the nursery, providing nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for the children. You'll also have the opportunity to work with the children, taking the lead in cookery based activities. You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team as a Nursery Cook.

Your responsibilities would include:

To prepare health and balanced meals for the children with a maximum of 40 children a day as a Nursery Cook
To adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times as a Nursery Cook
To observe cleanliness standards at all times
To be aware of allergies, particular dietary needs and religious beliefs requirements as a Nursery Cook
To order food supplies within an agreed budget

In order to be considered for the role we require:

Previous experience of working in a professional kitchen as a Nursery Cook / Nursery Chef
To be punctual and well organised
To be hard worker and a team player
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Standards
A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
Experience of managing allergies and intolerances
An enhanced DBS check
