Learning Support Assistant
• Primary mainstream school
• Based in Chalfont St Peter
• Reception child requiring support to regulate emotions
• Part time Monday to Friday within school hours
The Learning Support Assistant's (LSA) main role is to provide support for pupils with special educational needs. The LSA will ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress.
About The Role
• Supporting the reception child with the day to day life of the primary school
• Supporting the student to regulate emotions, communication and engage in lessons
• Confident in supporting a child who can communicate via behaviour
• You will be given additional training on early years trauma, toxic stress and attachment theory
Candidate specification
• The School are seeking a committed individual that has previous experience working with children with social, emotional and mental health
• A candidate who can be receptive and who can adapt and be resilient to different situations.
• Having a committed candidate who is seeking a full time role and looking to gain valuable experience whilst supporting pupils in the school.
• Experience in education, social care or sports coaching children
