The Provision & LSA role
**Specialist Autistic School for children aged 7-17
**Restorative and holistic practices in place, working 1-2 with the students
**ADHD, Aspergers, OCD, Dyslexia and a focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges
**Focus on trauma and nature nurture, restorative practices will be employed
**Range of age and size of children in each class, very diverse role and ideal experience
**Focus on learning need and Autism, delivering key and personal/functional skills
**Practical, creative and vocational subjects, what sparks joy for the students and will help them positively contribute to society
**49 students, classes of 6-8 ranging on ability, interest and age
**£75 per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, 8.15 to 4.15
**MAPA and ABA Training provided
This is a Learning Support Assistant role that will put you into challenging, sometimes Anti-Social contexts that will build your foundations of experience. With this LSA role starting after, de-escalation and the language around it is incredibly important! This is a specialist school where empathy and pragmatism are key, focus on the holistic and therapeutic.

Therapeutic, Holistic and Restorative Practices are used, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this LSA role in Dorking. The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. The children you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 7-17, all have EHCPs for their Autism and SEMH, they will need to continue their education in either supported living or college.
Behaviour is only one aspect of this role, it is imperative that you have the academic skill to be able to raise academic attainment across a number of areas. Computing, Hairdressing, PE and the Performative Arts are all incredibly important here, there is a real holistic approach and feeling within this brand this specialist provision in Northampton.
The LSA role will give you experience in safeguarding and assessment of what rehabilitation students require to be empowered back into mainstream education. It is important to understand, where the boys come from, what the boys have been through and the importance of clear objectives being set for them, making them feel valued within education in the process.
