Group VAT Manager – International Education Company – Milton Keynes – Circa £65k-£75k plus benefits package

*Can consider candidates on 4 days per week as well as full-time*

Robert Walters are hiring for a Group VAT Manager for a leading, highly-reputed international education company based in Milton Keynes.

This is permanent role that can be considered either on a 5 day per week full-time basis, or on a 4 day per week part-time basis. There will also be some element of home-working that is possible.

The Group VAT Manager will be the stand-alone internal tax specialist in the company, looking after all the tax affairs of the business for the UK and internationally (with the use of external advisors).

The majority of the work is VAT and indirect tax related (perhaps 70%/80% of the role); However this person will also get involved in corporate and direct taxes, international tax and employment taxes.

This person will be responsible for taking ownership of all tax compliance and reporting obligations, but also for providing regular advice and tax project support to the finance director and the rest of the finance leadership team.

Due to the focus on VAT, the company are looking to hire a VAT or Indirect Tax specialist into the role – Or at least someone with very strong VAT experience.

Specifically the company are ideally looking for someone with prior partial exemption or reverse charge experience.

Otherwise they are flexible – They are willing to consider candidates straight from practice, or those with prior in-house experience; Ideally you will be qualified (ACA /ACCA / CTA / ATT) but this is not mandatory.
